August PoM nominations process starts here. This month, we have the US open towards the end of the month and so we close the August period on Sunday 24th August at the end of week 34 (US Open qualies week, also will include US Open Mixed Doubles)
US Open week 1 and other events that week will be part of September - sorry if that feels weird, but we can split US Open in two months.
You know the process; nominations below, please give name and reason!
End of week 1 of 4, good news is we have 3 weeks to go still in this month. And that includes more ITF action here at home, another Masters event in Cinci (with Canada still to finish for our doubles guys) and then qualies and mixed doubles at the USO.
1. Max Basing - for winning the M15 title in Bali, seeded 4, just his second ITF title and first this year. His previous one was also in Bali! Will take out his career high ranking as a result.

2. Josh Wright (age 15) - completely unranked, never scored a point in juniors in three attempts, and then went on a run and won the singles title at the J30 Angola

Nearing the end of week 2, of 4, a slower month in the offing this month.
And the 1000 event schedule doesnt help the rhythm of things!
But lots of Brits in action still this week, from the Toronto doubles final tonight through domestic ITF events with plenty of players still in, and Cinci about to start for our players over there.

3. Lloyd Glasspool and Julian Cash - Winning the Toronto Masters 1000 for the Canadian Open, their 19th straight win and their first Masters 1000 title. In the process, they claim a place in the Tour Finals. More to come in this story this month, I am sure, but for now, this is pretty decent!
And here is the link to the Friday feeling for this week, thanks to DF. Anyone catch your eye over the weekend, you know the process.
Please dont wait for others to post nominations - we all see different things or have different ideas on outstanding performances, so if you think it is worthy, go for it!
I know its often me that nominates them but to say this is Julian and Lloyds 6th month with a nomination, out of 8. Good season.
It is but not enough (so far) win a player of the month!
I know ! A wrong that needs to be righted!
That said - if we look back at player of the season winners on this forum -
2020 - Joe Salisbury won PoS, he didnt win a vote for PoM but was anointed in January 2020 without a vote. It sort of kicked us off into voting after that, but then covid hit, so the first year PoM's were a bit all over the place!
2022 - Jack D was PoS and never won a PoM vote (won his first one sometime after being PoS!)

Good to see some players making finals this weekend, Hannah and Paul, maybe more to come?
And GB U12 team in the European Summer Cup Final - I am sure the Winter Cup team get nominated earlier this year, maybe the boys team will follow suit?
