Week 34 - US Open - Flushing Meadows, New York, NY, USA (hard) - men's qualifying

An early post to give board members a space in which to speculate/report on confirmed GB entrants into the qualifying event before the draw is made.  According to Darts, Oliver Crawford is currently fourth alternate, Johannus Monday ninth, George Loff just behind him in tenth & Ryan P 15th, with Dan Evans in by right (& seeded), along with Billy Harris, Jan Choinski, JPJ & Jay Clarke.

You would think that a few WCs will come from the Americans in qualifying... so Ollie seems fairly sure to be in! I hope

Oli will be in as soon as the WCs are announced. I'm confident that atleast 4 US players in their early 20s will get WCs.

If Darts is correct, I think JoMo is functionally in as well: there are 5 players still in qualifying who seem to have been granted MDWCs.

Yeah, Schoolkate, Nava, Holt, Basavareddy, and Boyer have got those wild cards and once they come off the qualies draw, as you say JoMo will be in.

Loffers will also be into qualfying alt 1 position, so could also be in a strong place to make it. Probably worth checking flights from Athens to New York!!

JoMo in would make it 7 and Loffers could potentially make it 8 - that is a very decent haul in a non British major.
