Mika should have made the main draw to join Marni, Mimi, Ranah, Alice G and Alicia D.
Missing from the qualifying draw are Allegra, Tegan, plus Sophie Bekker and may well have wildcards. Not sure about the fourth wildcard - there are several possibles.

I knew it was Marni, changed it once and edited it wrong...
Old age creeping in...

Sophie Bekker withdrew on 10th October (yesterday) so I reckon it's not her

There are a few in qualifying that I hadn't seen before. Anyone able to enlighten me ?
Specifically Zainab Williams, Neha Kibria, Francesca Tye and Tamara Kuti. I think only Tamara is still a junior.

Francesca Tye was in the J60 final losing to 13 year old April this week although I think that she is 18.

I've seen Zainab Williams play a couple of times (she must be not far off 30 by now)

She went off to US college a while back - not sure what she's been doing in between

She wasn't that impressive, tbh - but I know she was quite vocal at one point in saying that black tennis players in the UK didn't get much focus or help.

Francesca Tye is definitely still a junior (born 2007) - and, as mentioned above, made the finals in the J60 in Loughborough this week

Tamara Kuti is a name that's been around a lot in juniors

I'm pretty sure she switched from German nationality a year or two ago

haven't seen her play, to my recollection, but her results have not been stellar

Don't know Neha

Thanks DF and CD for the background information. Still not sure about the wildcards though.

OK, so here goes:

as Mika is one below Zeltina, and Zeltina is in qualis, I'll go for wildcards to:

Mika, Allegra, Tegan and Ruby

If Mika has somehow made the main draw as of right:

Allegra, Tegan, Ruby and Daniella Britton

I'd assumed that as there were four available places in the main draw the four highest ranked players in the qualifying list would get those places. On current rankings Mika is the fourth player. The qualifying seeds are based on the current rankings.

I agree with CD that as long as Beatrice Zeltina was in qualifying, Mika would need to be a MD WC.

But I notice that Beatrice has now been taken out of the qualifying draw so it looks as if she has been transferred to the MD, and we will see re Mika.

Yes, Zeltina was definitley in the quali draw and it's the acceptance list that counts for entry to the main draw so Mika was, IMO, a wildcard, as she was lower.

I see that Joy de Zeeuw WR 551 was a late withdrawal yesterday.

At 551, she was in the main draw so that, presumably, is why Megan Davies now has a walkover and Zeltina is straight into the main draw

But that should still leave Mika as a wildcard, I reckon

Elizabeth Evans lost, but with a respectable score against a top-900 player

Amelia Fortecue lost easily

Amelia Brooks beat Tamara Kuti
