Girls

Several 'big' results today (and a couple of lucky ones)

The biggest upset was young (q) Millie Ryder (2011) beating the top seed

Then (wc) Grace Watson (2011) beat the 3rd seed

13 year-old Mila Angrave also got a win over 18 year-old Eva Senior, ranked about 1500

Teddy Prisadnikova beat the 6th seed

And, in the 'lucky' camp, Milica (2011) and Lilia Saad (2011) both won by retirement very early on in the matches

Boys

Some nice results in the boys, especially against the 'peskies'

The pick of the bunch is 14 year-old (wc) Ryan Szeto who beat the 2nd seed from KSA

But also:

(LL) Ryan Iacob beat the Latvian 7th seed
Niall P-B beat an Australian player
(q) Jaydan M beat an Indian player
(q) Brennan Coletta beat a Russian boy
Rocco R beat a Japanese lad
....

A 'really poor efffort' from our lads and lasses, as nearly every GB v pesky match ended in a win for the foreign player

So we're left with:

Girls QFs:

Awen Gwilym-Davies v (q) AUT
Teddy Prisadnikova v (4) TUR
(wc) Grace Watson (age 14) v (5) IRL
Lilia Saad (age 14) v (7) AUS

FINAL:

Teddy Prisadnikova def. (wc) Grace Watson 6-1 6-3

Well done to Teddy I think this is her first title, and will certainly give herself a big points boost

And to Grace too on a very good week - excellent start, this week and last, to ITFs

Archie Gray lost his final to the Russian lad, 6-2 6-3

Doubles to come

Boys dubs final: Jaydan Mitchell & Charlie Ruffell def. Brennan Coletta & TUR 5-7 6-3 10-7

That's the first title for both boys

And this if the first ITF event that Brennan has ever played so making the final is amazing too !

This is the best title yet for both of the girls

Well done to our girls singles and doubles champions.

But from the ITF site, that's a boys doubles SF and our lads lost the final by 6-4 2-6 [10-7] to a couple of *** boys.

Darn - same mistake again

Tx, Indy

So, it's only the girls - a full sweep, and the lads all came up short .....
