I know that. She went to Aus open lost and is stopping off on the way back. Lost last week and again this week.
Seems to lack a strong support team. Our younger players appear to get stuck between the LTA system and building their own coaching team. I know money is a factor but I just wonder if this may be an impact the transition to seniors? Stand to be corrected as ever.

She's part of the top level of funding. I don't see what more can be asked.
"Xu is being supported by the LTA Pro Scholarship Programme, presented by Lexus the highest level of support offered to developing players between the ages of 16 and 24 with the best chance of reaching the ATP/WTA top 100 singles."
Katie O'Brien didnt travel. It may have been a late decision from Mimi as she was an alt.

Thanks for the link CD. Very interesting. The link goes to a list for the year 2025. Does the programme last for more than one year for each player or do they just get it once? I wonder what criteria are used to assess ongoing funding etc. On paper it looks a good programme.

She did make over £20k for losing in the first round of quallies! And, she also put up a decent go of it.
