Boys & Girls: J30 Liverpool Indoor hard (Week 5)

The first of 2 J30's underway at Liverpool and also featuring a TE event this week.

A lot of the same players playing both weeks.

I'll get down next week. This week is a bit difficult, although i might watch the TE finals on Sunday.

In the TE,
GB has the top 2 seeds in the boys with Cameron Rae and Joe Knightley.
The top 4 seeds in the girls are all overseas players. Coco Witton is the only real name i recognise.

Evie Pritchard is a 'big' name - won the doubles in nationals. She's Welsh, I believe, and was highlighted quite recently on the LTA's site:

  • Evie Pritchard won multiple U12 Tennis Europe singles titles and captured the U12 Girls Doubles GB National Title in Nottingham.

I assume Natalia must be Hanna's sister - there can't be many Augstynskas around.....

Don't know much about the others

Evie and Coco are both at Nottingham RPDC and doing very well. I am a big fan of Coco in particular. Both are on track for national academy selection along with Kaya S. Definitely two of the best for long term potential as it stands at the moment .

Congratulations to Liam Channon and Sofie Johnstone on their singles victories.
We had success in both doubles as well.

It appears to be first ITF junior singles titles for both Liam and Sophie. Well done.

In TE, the only GB singles finalist is the winner of Coco Witton and Sienna Grace.
