Lots of good players stepping up from TE this week.
Sienna Grace qualified, Sophia Cunninghame has a wildcard
Kiely and Araf are in the boys

Quite a wide open girls event.
The French girl that beat Jess Morrison is quite decent. Jess played quite well.
Last week's winner, Sophie Johnstone has just dropped the opening set.
Sophia Cunnighame was very disappointing - trying to hit too hard and making lots of errors.

Sophia C has always been a very 'aggressive' player - going for angles and pace
It's what won her the nationals when I saw her
But I guess, as we all know, you've got to learn to control it, balance it, temper it....

The French girl, Elsa, that you mention made the SFs in the nationals last year and only quite narrowly lost to Dani Baranes (see adult W15 Monastir thread this week) who went on to win the nationals

Big win for Isabella Rebel, who is huge for 13. (5ft 9ish) and has the serve and power to go with it.
Keep an eye on her.
Judy Zhang won in 3, but was really pushed by the TE finalist, who looks another talent.

Bella Rebel is a great favourite here, partly because Helen Parish was so involved with her development

There's been quite a lot on the junior forum about her over the recent years

I love some of her tennis

Didnt see too much of the boys, but in the battle of the youngsters, Jan Janda(15) gave a tennis lesson to Myles Kiely (14)

There are some big age gaps but, taking the rankings, well done to those who caused a bit of an upset.

Some were helped by retirements though

Charlie Harvey beat the 4th seed Jaydan Mitchell

Jake Blackler-Rose took out the Japanese 7th seed

Jan Janda, as paulis noted, beat the 8th seed very easily

Harry Voss defeated the 3rd seed, Kacper Laskowski

In the girls, again as paulisi highlighted, Bella Rebel beat the 5th seed, from France

Freya Walters beat 8th seed, Sophie Johnstone

Alice Sharp beat the 7th seed, Julia Reynolds

Charlie Harvey was struggling with cramp in both legs and it was a matter of who retired first.

Didnt manage to get down today, as planned.
Looking at results posted, wins for Leah, Taniska, Isabella, Shravanti, Radostina and Millie.
