Well, Im a much bigger follower of the mens game and there is only one left in this and I suspect he needs all the support he can get!

Seriously, Jack for me; I look forward to seeing the other 6 finalists sort out who wins between them!

Mmm. A dilemma - if one's favourite didn't make the final, how can it be right to vote for someone that (obviously) isn't?

Well. That would stop many people voting as no player ever achieves much more than 40 percent of the vote in any previous group.

its voting for the boards favourite British player so in support of the board its reasonable to still vote for your favourite of those left, I would say.

i voted for jack, but my two actual favourites are Evo and Henry who went out in the semis.

Heres our past roll of honour:

2020 1. Dan 2. Andy 3. Heather
2021 not held
2022 1. Andy 2. Dan 3. Harriet
2023 1. Andy 2. Emma 3. Cam and Katie Swan
2024 1. Heather 2. Andy 3. Jack
2025 1. Jake 2. Fran 3. Jodie

Heather is a past winner; Fran, Jack, Emma and Katie S. past medalists. New territory for Sonay and Katie B

4 early votes split 4 ways. Could this be the way it goes?!

The dynamics of a final with 6 women and one man should prove interesting.

Undoubtedly some folk clearly follow the men's game more than the women's and vice versa and that will influence some choices in votes, but others follow them.more equally and many ( I'd think most ) will have favourites from both the men's and women's games at different times.

So things can be often very difficult to predict - eg. just looking back to the recent PoS final when a divide and be conquered theory didnt quite work out as some anticipated. That said, I can imagine Jack could well now get the better of Katie B and Emma, his close competitors in SF 2. Much may then depend on just how strong Sonay and Fran in particuiar prove to be, not to say Katie S or Heather won't come through.

All bets are off, let the people decide !

Indeed - and interesting that no other men made it. We have a recent best haul of men in the 100 to 300 or so range and not that many are well known names or are new names; generally.

So although we all hope that they do great things, I dont think many people are yet counting them as favourites - its too soon!

And so votes dont translate from that. And the doubles guys havent got the following really and having three in one group probably didnt help!

Yes, the depth certainly by performance and indeed by number of names we have have come to know to some extent is definitely on the men"s side - and  we had 16 men and 11 women make the SFs from an equal number starting out.

But overall currently more of the names that really resonate with folk, that they care more about, are among our women. It will be interesting to see how that looks in 2 or 3 years when some of these up and coming guys become much better known. I guess we will find out if anyone happens to be running a favourites competition then

10 votes so far and Fran has a one vote lead so far from Sonay and Emma; Katie Swan yet to score. Early days - will our 2025 PoS do the double?

I have gone for Sonay as well. Agree with Danny she just keeps her head down and keeps on working. A lot to admire.
