In the battle of the 14 year-olds, our girl came out top

Tanvi had an excellent week last week, making the QFs, beating some good players, so that's a great win for Liv

Edie lost out, however

Liv will now play the American girl, Capucine Jauffret, who is the granddaughter and great-niece of two of the biggest names in French tennis (and public office, in the case of Jean-Paul Jauffret)

Jauffret has had a tough time of it of late, winning just 1 match in her last 6 junior tournaments

The first two sets were indeed very close but Capucine came through easily in the third set

(For those with linguistic interest, Capucine is the French word for nasturtium....)

But Hollie won easily

Hollie comfortably dealt with the 14 year old, and plays Liv's conqueror last week. Both doubles pairs are through to the quarter-finals

Although her partner missed out on the singles final (Hollie's conqueror won through in the other semi) Hollie+ were successful in their semi
