Boys & Girls: J200 Prato, Italy, clay (Week 18)

Megan Knight joins Billy Moxon in Italy, and appears to have a better draw than him

Boys R1 (L32)

William Moxon v (2) Dan Brand (ISR)

Girls R1 (L32)

(16R) Ninon Carpentier (FRA) v Megan Knight

Unsurprisingly Billy lost easily but if her draw was more favourable Megan was unable to take advantage. Megan+ are seeded 2 in doubles

Boys R1 (L32)

(2) Dan Brand (ISR) d. William Moxon 6-1 6-3

Girls R1 (L32)

(16R) Ninon Carpentier (FRA) d. Megan Knight 6-2 7-6(5)

Meg's woes go from bad to worse

Ninon isn't a bad player - the French federation quite rate her - but she's only 9 months older than Meg - and she's ranked JR 370 or so

On paper, Meg should be thrashing her

I repeat my Elite TC comments - and Mr Knight, I know you thought the Klugmans made the wrong choice, but honestly...... just watch some of the youtube videos - the 'official' ones on the FFT little series that they did - you saw those and honestly thought that was a good place to go?

Meg has withdrawn from her next tournament

Something's still not right

Obviously she had all that tape etc on during the nationals, but she played a very long three set match, and didn't seem like stopping

Do hope her injuries, and everything, get sorted out
