May is already up and running and we are halfway through week one of what will be three. Yes, this months nominations close on Sunday 24th May to ensure the French Open is all in one month, ie June, for PoM purposes. But the qualies will be in May and we will close our month at the end of week 20.
As usual, anyone can nominate at any time for any reason. Just add a name to the latest version of the list with a reason!
1 - Neal Skupski - back to #1 in the world in doubles. Being #1 - you can't do better than that - got to be worth a shoutout
2
3
etc
A reminder as we enter this weekend, just three weeks in this counting month before the FO starts, so every performance probably has a little more impact than in other typical months
1 week in and 2 weeks left for May Player of the Month nominations. If you are new to the board, anyone can nominate at any time based on performances, achievements etc in that month. Just add a name to the list above by quoting or copying the list and reposting with a narrative sentence or two to support your nomination
Halfway into this months PoM period, a week and a half left.
Just Neal on the board at the moment; any more nominations as they arise, just add them to the list above - a one person list! Is that a list? - and post with name and a reason.

2 - Liv Zingg - 14 years old, Liv won the biggest title of her career with the J100 in Peru, taking out the top seed in the process. As CD said at the time of her title "Liv is still 14, and this is her first singles title at above J30 level

A super week and good new points coming"
It was in my mind to nominate Liv, but been super busy - thanks Jon

Was surprised no one else had done it, tbh! Neal also into Italian semis so deserves a little update when his week is done; Jan and Arthur battling for a challenger final place and new career high rankings; Katie swan in a second straight final and aiming at a second straight title! So, hopefully, other players will add to the list this weekend!
I'm sure Neal's script can be updated after his Rome campaign is over, all in a oner. In fact that seems to make more sense to me. . Katie S will undoubtably be nominated by me or someone else. And as you say, we have Jan and Arthur, and I also see that Oliver O is going for a 3rd doubles title in a row. Others too may emerge as nominations.
I always like players who step up and perform well at home events, especially those who don't get to travel to far-flung corners of the world.
