Ali would have been MD 2nd seed ahead of Hamish if he'd been on the MD entry list.

He should clearly qualify but then could maybe do with avoiding either the 1st or 3rd seeds who are both drawn against qualifiers.

Hamish is into a thrid set

Jasika is one of those players who should have done far better than he did - don't know about his story but his tennis had impressive potential

 Got a couple of years ban for cocaine in 2018 and his ban ended March 2020. So straight into pandemic time and couldnt come back, obviously, and never seems to have recovered after that. 

He did win the Aussie Open 1 point challenge last year, fwiw, so can probably call himself a minor grand slam champ (just kidding) to go alongside his junior slam title. 

wasted talent.
