Girls: J100 Varnamo, Sweden - clay (Week 20)

There's a big tournout of a lot of our top younger girl players here

(Presumably an LTA trip)

R1:

(1) Liv Zingg v Lois Bernstein (big sister to much-touted Grace) 

Grace Watson v (wc) LykkeLindorff 

(4) Hermione Korpanec Davies v SonjaWedenski

(5) Emilija Lebedevaite  v Grace Bernstein (said younger sister)

April Sackflame v Mimmie Buchler

 National academy trip for Liv, Grace and April. Other 2 are there independently

Didn't start well ....

(4) Hermione Korpanec Davies LOST to Sonja Wedenski 7-6(6) 6-3

April Sackflame LOST to Mimmie Buchler 1-6 6-1 6-2

However, the same two did win their doubles together

A little better - at least top seed, Liv, got a win, and Grace beat the wildcard

R1:

Grace Watson lost 6-2 6-4

But Liv Zingg won, 6-3 6-0

Emilija+ won her doubles and are into the SFs

Hannelore Daniels was one of the stand-out players on the Tennis Europe under 14 circuit last year, and the Belgian put an end to Liv Zingg's hopes in singles (6-2 6-3 in the semi, after Liv had beaten the German 8th seed 6-4 6-3 in the quarters) and Emilija+ in the doubles final (6-0 7-5)

Young Hannelore Daniels (born 2011) went on the take the singles title today, on top of the doubles title yesterday
