British Tennis Forum July 2026 Player of the Month Award - Nominations thread

First weekend of 5 this month. Conscious that I dont wish to overdo the reminders, Im trying to vow to just do them once each weekend during each nomination period as opposed to multiple ones like I am prone to do!

Those who are maybe new, anyone can nominate so feel free to drop a name during the month, and a reason, no other rules than just feel free to get involved!

Nominations:

1.Arthur Fery- The only British singles player, male or female, to win more than 1 Wimbledon round . Ex Stanford student athlete Fery has gone at least 3 rounds better than any of the others. Not bad for a player ranked outside the top 100, and now he's in the top 60 having reached the quarters. Huge 5 set win over Dimitrov in R16 and whatever happens after that a huge breakthrough performance from Arthur.

2.

3.

etc

Thanks Danny!

I think youll need to pop back and do a wee upgrade for Arthurs highlights narrative, Danny! Although Id probably leave it for now and see where this all ends up!

I'll be looking out for the women - there are 4 WTA250's and 4 WTA 125's to come this month, plus the current ones - so there may be a doubles contender. And of course, a GB win in Nottingham could be worth a nomination.

Definitely - nominations are worth it: as someone pointed out we should use this thread to highlight all the noteworthy
Achievements in the month, doesnt matter if someone doesnt win PoM as a result. Lets get whoever we feel deserves the recognition onto the list!

Henry P in mens doubles, Alfie, Alfie/gordon, Andy L in wheelchair, maybe Mika in girls singles, all could force their way on this week!
