Jamie Murray's upcoming schedule

Andy's official site has just announced Jamie's plans for the next few weeks:

Feb 5 - Dallas challenger
Feb 12 - San Jose (cut last year 342, current combined rank - 132)
Feb 19 - Memphis (cut last year 178)
Feb 26 - Las Vegas (all with Eric Butorac) (cut last year 110 so might struggle to get in here unless they do well in the next couple of weeks)
Mar 5 - Indian Wells (with Andy) (cut last year 71, current combined rank - 84, so again mihgt struggle to get in here unless they both do well in above tournaments)
Mar 12 - Indian Wells or Bogota challenger (cut last year 442 but has moved week and increased prize money)

...then back to Europe (and hopefully) Davis cup

Interesting schedule, very optimistic which is good to see. I'm sure he'll stay for Miami if his ranking has risen enough and he can find a partner (maybe someone like Djokovic!!)

Very interesting. I doubt he will play doubs with Andy and IW this year though so a high money challenger might be better, get into the top 50 and then play MS.

Bumping this thread with updated WR's for Jamie and Butorac:

Feb 19 - Memphis (cut last year 178, current combined rank 125 - easy direct entry)
Feb 26 - Las Vegas (both with Eric Butorac) (cut last year 110 - a good week this week will see them getting close to this, otherwise looking for a wildcard)
Mar 5 - Indian Wells (with Andy) (cut last year 71, current combined rank - 78, so now getting quite close - hopfully a few good weeks from Jamie and they'll ease in to the draw)
Mar 12 - Indian Wells or Bogota challenger (cut last year 442 but has moved week and increased prize money)
Mar 19 - Europe (supposedly), but hopefully Miami (cut last year 80)

Las Vegas will be tough....

Also, Jamie said on AM.com that he is thinking about playing with Butorac on a regular basis:

Ed: Next question…how do you see your partnership developing with ‘booty?’ Is this a fixture now?

Jamie: Yeah, I think we’re going to play a little bit more now, over the next few months and see how it goes. We’ve only played two tournaments together and we’ve played pretty well in both of them so far, so I think we’ll do pretty well.

Bumping this thread with updated WR's for Jamie and Butorac (hope you dont mind GC77)

Feb 19 - Memphis (in main draw vs. fisher/parrott in first round)
Feb 26 - Las Vegas (cut last year 110 - current combined rank is 104 - should squeak through)
Mar 5 - Indian Wells (with Andy) (cut last year 71, current combined rank - 66, quite close should get in and a good week from the brothers at memphis could seal their place)
Mar 12 - Indian Wells or Bogota challenger (cut last year 442 but has moved week and increased prize money)
Mar 19 - Europe (supposedly), but hopefully Miami (cut last year 80)

Good that Andy's website shows Jamie's plans too... It is starting to look like Jamie & Booty will find it slightly easier than they expected, to get in to one or two events - seeing as JM is #53 and Eric #51 as of this week. Great fortnight boys!

Presumably if Jamie plays with Andy at some point, Bootie will find another partner - I just hope Jamie and Bootie get back together afterwards

As much as it is nice to see Andy and Jamie occsionally playing together I wouldn't want Jamie to jepordise his partnership with Eric by doing so.

I agree....I got to watch their final with the Brian Brothers last year over here....can't seem to remember the tourny....getting old....but Jamie and Eric played so well together then I remember posting that I wished they'd continue to play together. It really is impressive watching them play together....sorry I was not posting here....it was tape delayed where I am...but really good match.

Wonder what has happened to Delgado....

Jamie and Eric can get a direct entry into Indian Wells if they excel in Las Vegas.

Excel how much, Arka? They are already in the semis - would making the final do, or must they win?

Na! In Las Vegas, not just in Memphis.
They must win in Memphis in the first place and then reach the finals of Vegas or do better to have a good chance.

IW begins on Friday, so the rankings released on Monday would be used.

Not quite, Las Vegas is next week ;) Although you're right that they're doing well this week in Memphis.
