Well done, Jamie! Keep it up!

I completely forgot about his match after being up most of the night following Andy.

Jamie played excellent tennis today. He took the first set with a break of Lugassy's serve in the seventh game. He was also 4-3 up with a break in the second but unfortunately he managed to break Jamie's serve and force the second set to a tiebreak. Jamie did not have any match points in the tiebreak, being 6-5 down but he saved the set point to make it 6-6 but a big serve from Lugassy and a error from Jamie ment he lost the second set 8-6 on the breaker.
Into the 3rd Jamie was broken in the first game and then Lugassy held to make it 2-0. Thankfully Jamie held serve then broke back to make it 2-2 . The serve was quite dominant from then on until 6-5 with neither player having a break point , but Lugassy serving to stay in the match went 0-40 on his serve . 3 match points for Jamie which he took on the second attempt

I was very impressed with Jamie. He has a very solid game, if i was to just say one thing that might say why Jamie has not yet broke the top 100, this is not taking anything away from him because he is a fantastic player but I doubt whether he has that one big shot that can win him cheap points instead of getting into long rallies, which today he did very well

All the best next week in France, Jamie!... Come on Andy tonight aswell make it a brilliant day for Scottish tennis
