Does a Challenger semi-final deserve its own thread ? We wont have a live SB or anything but I think it would be good for discussions and the odd update...I will phone at some point during the match to the tournament office...I will make one anyway !
Great stuff from Boggo, what a win ! This is his first challenger semi outdoors since Graz challenger in August 2004 ! It's his first semi in the States since Lexington back in July 2003 !
I will try and get some quotes from him.
Good point Panda Bear, he has an excellent record in challenger semis, last one was the Sunderland challenger semi in Nov when he beat Meffert in 3 sets...he could have won that Belgrade semi too in 2005, he played Belgium's Jerome Masson who was on fire at the time and had just outplayed Parmar in the quarters. Masson won the first set 6-3 but Boggo had lots of chances in the 2nd, led 6-2 in the tiebreak and ended up missing 5 set points before somehow losing it 9-7. Masson looked on course for the top 150 back then, somehow he managed to slip off the radar

Yeah definately, first one since Baker in mid-Feb in Joplin.
It's great that radio tennis can cover it, though believe it or not, my computer loudspeakers still don't work (and yes I do have headphones now but can't work out where to plug them in) so I won't be able to listen to a thing. Anyone know what frequencies Radio Tennis is on and AM or LW ?
if it's not accessible by normal radio can someone please do commentary in the thread and keep us up to date with the latest hilarious comments coming out of Ken
