Further to that Elliot is unranked and Alice Balducci is ranked 611 and was third seed.

looking at the draw i would expect broady to reach semi
i know clay isnt her best surface but she seems comfortable on it

Actually Broady should be pretty good on this. It's played on green clay, which is faster than the red variety.

Broady reached the finals of the Nationals in her age group on the same courts.

All 3 have a decent chance to make quarters:

Kayser now faces Amanda Elliott. The 16 year old German is ranked 899 and has played just a handful of tournaments in 2007. Rebecca plays Italian Benedetta Davato who knocked out the top seed, 18 year old Davato is ranked 760 and before this tournament she'd been on a 6 match losing streak. She did make a couple of 10K quarters on clay earlier this year. Naomi's up against Russian qualifier Elena Kulikova who took out the 8th seed . Kulikova is just 15, she has a handful of ranking points, has been been past rd2 of a 10K.
