For Alex, he cannot worry about whatever chain of command he had in the past. Good people want to help and if he learns to love the gym, great things can happen. If getting into the top ten was just about striking the ball nicely, it would be a very crowded top ten.
seems to suggest brad thinks alex needs to toughen up physcialy, soemthign a lot of us also i think, so hopefully alex will. certianly i think alex is realising it too, for him to reach finals back to back (other than grass where it is less demanding i think and he has done it b4) shos he has improved, still a long way to go mind.

So Andy is already in Rome - looking hopeful for starting there, then. Let's hope the back holds up. And Tim's.
Things are looking rather brighter in British Tennis than they have done for a long time.

You really think so ?....take Andy / Tim / Boggo out of the equation then its not so good Madeline. 3 of our current top 10 are retired (Challenger level players) and in this weeks GBR F9 futures not one Brit made it to R2.
So while we have 'decent' representation at ATP level and with only Boggo seriously looking at top 100 I am concerned for who is going to step up next.
Phillips, Ward, Bloomfield, Baker, Cox, Evans etc...who who who ?????
I meant more that the atmosphere seems a lot more efficient and hopeful. The LTA seems to be becoming less of a dinosaur; of course that won't help if the talent is not there, but long-term it will hopefully make a difference.
I felt for a long time that the coaching was a lot to blame for the standard of British tennis, if that improves, so perhaps will the players.

Could not agree with you more.
For what it is worth I think Draper has been a good thing for British Tennis.
