nope....the scoreboard malfunctioned....on the 2nd pt Alex netted a bh return and so it was 30-0 not 15-15....then on the final pt it was Roko reading where Alex was going and putting away the volley, not Alex hitting a winner
when it was dry it was encouraging from alex, but twhen it got wet went worse. i guess we have to hope it dry in paris. but at the end of the day i am not too bothered on clay. was nice to have the stream tho.

my SB was well out of sync with the video stream. What I was watching was the ninth game in the second set but the SB was at 7th game when Alex got it back to 3-5.
Thanks to Bwin for this service but would be nice if it was in sync.
hmm, so thats 2 matches on clay that boggo has effecitvly led and then lost. well i am not so sure how to take it, both have been in difficult, wet conditions against players more experienced on clay and in roko a player i couldnt say with certanity that alex would beat on hard courts, although i would hope so. so maybe this isnt so bad, alex clearly needs to put more time into clay tennis in the coming years, but at the moment it isnt really a priority of his. just as its is possible to be in the top 100 without ever stepping off clay its definatly possible to be there without playing on clay, but i think these performances show a foundation there that could be built on for alex, although i never really see him being a 'contender' on clay
looking closer ahead if he gets a kind draw at the RGQ he has a chance of making it, esp if the weather condtions suit him, but if he comes up against a clay speiclist then he will be on the train home. ijust hope he cna stay fit for the grass season, untill we get some news on murray and with greg retired, if boggo cant find any performances it could be quite a dessing season all resting on timbo.

real pity for Al. As Sheddie says he should have closed this out in 2.
But the signs of improvement appear to be there and with the extra physical work he's been doing he has a better chance of being able to qualify at RG.
Maybe he needs some time with a sports physcologist as well?
