Yeah, was just thinking what amazing things that would do for Jim May. He's already jumped 500 places in two weeks. Would be ridiculous ranking jump if he won a round at wimbers qualies.

Sorry Sheddie, that's how many points it is for qualifying. A first round loss gives 0 points, second round 3 and third round 8, qualifiers get 15 points for qualifying.

15 I think....(though not 100% on this) and that would be massive for any of those 4 as it's the equivalent of making a 10K final
It's 4 for winning your first match in Wimby qualifying, 8 (in total) for reaching QR3 and 15 (+ 5 R1 points) for actually qualifying, so at least one of you (i.e. Bethan) was almost right.
Also, on which planet do you get 15 points for making a 10K Final - you get 8, 12 if you win it.
At least we can say one thing then - you get as many points for reaching the FQR in Wimby qualifying as for reaching a 10K Final.

However, it's unlikely that any will win a round as they'll be competing against top 250 opposition...Jim May probably has the best chance...
Bamford is the only one to have played Wimby qualies before, he did so in 2005.
Shame Eaton didn't make it through, Irwin is a serve-volleyer and so his game suits grass more I guess but looking at the big picture, Eaton is a better prospect
Points for wimby qualies - 1Q-0 2Q -4 3Q-8 Qualifying 15+ 5 for 1st rd singles loss
All the results are fairly disappointing and dont show our new generation in a great light, with Dyce and Brewer going down to mid -20's journeymen (in the nicest possible way) who we know arent going to be good enough long term.
Brewer desperately close, a real shame for him, just hope that someone can win a game, i agree that May has the best chance, but that's not saying a lot.
