The Wimbledon OOP Committee really annoy me. They insist on trying to put Anne and Elena on Centre/Number 1 Courts, even though in the past nerves has badly inhibited both of them in this situation. Elena's last appearance on Centre was in 2005 against an unheralded German, Sabine Klaschka, and Bally could barely find the court. Anne's last appearance (number 1 court I think) was ironically against Katarina Srebotnik, and Anne got so screwed up that she ended up retiring ill.

I appreciate that Wimbledon is an International tournament, and there will be occasions when they are forced to put nervy Brits on the major courts in the first round, but this isn't one of them. Serena Williams has been shunted to court 2 to make way for Anne. ((incidentally court TBA is a euphemism for "we will try to put you on Centre/No. 1 if time permits, but if not you could go anywhere vacant").

Fortunately a combination of Tim's regular first-round epic and the weather should thwart the OOP Committee - for a day at least.

On Court 17, O'Brien was a break down, but is now back on serve, 2-1*
