Barnesy is planning on playing his match, he is due to play an Italian 91 born, he will give it a go & see how his back responds to treatment from the physio. Barnesy may look girly but he is a toughie really.......!!

barnesy pulled through so much pain now though might regret it in the mourning i won 76 26 61 on court for 3 hours in 32 degrees gotta love the sport!as i said back is in ruins but miracles can happen getting ready for doubles later and preparing for singles tomorrow, which will be a toughie anyway, john if you see this its the swiss boy who beat smethurst in qualys first week of tunisia the small lad!
deighton upset the number 2 seed played well other guy bottled at 5 3 in 1st set!
maselek is in 3rd set as we speak should come through!
Well done Lewy, keep toughing it out!! Remember to stretch after each practise session & match & make sure you get the physio to earn his money, keep getting regular treatment. Push as hard aa you can this week to gain the points & we can review Portugal after, it doesn't matter if you miss a week. The swiss lad can play a bit but you can take him as long as you keep your head, dont allow the injury to piss you off, stick to your strengths & be brave. You can do it Lewy, remember we want the Aussie Open in Jan!!!

barnes and deighton are out while an english todler carries british hopes... deighton pulled out with a back injury after the first set, probably coming from his massive first round.. banes was a set up and serving (7-5 4-3) and couldnt convert his chances, due to his back.. playing always slice and rolling his serve in.. lost 5-7 6-4 6-3...
