the rules:
Each week all the participants make one prediction:
Which player will get through the most ATP tournament rounds, how many, AND who(*) they go out to( or beat in the final). For example Andy, 2 rounds, Roddick or Andy, 3 rounds, Nadal , or Boggo , wins , beating Fed in final )
There is a weekly total of points ( say 120, for ease of division) shared between all competitiors who got it exactly right. Getting a bye in the case 48 or 96 draws would not count as getting through a round, though a W/O would count. In the case of no-one getting it exactly right, 60 pts would be shared between whoever got the correct player + number of rounds. Or correct player, if rounds not right. Running total of points carries forwards through the season, where the top 8 put have to make more predictions for the Masters Cup to determine the seasons winner.
Predictions would have to be provided BEFORE the first game in the tournament starts. Eblunt works out the points each week and keeps the table. ATP tournaments only. GS count double.
Important note on the points shareout : In the case of 2 players (e.g Tim and Andy) getting through the same number of rounds, then the points are firstly split between the 2 Tim and Andy, then between the players in this comp. Confused ? here's an example: Player A,B,C correctly predict Andy thru 3 rounds beaten by fed Players D, E correctly predict Tim thru 3 rounds beaten by nadal Greg only gets thru 2 rounds. Total points to share =120, So A,B,C get 20pts each D,E get 30pts each.
(*) this must be the player, stated explicitly by name, especially if you are the tournament organiser.

Marseille Josh, Imoen and John split 60pts - right number of rounds won, but no-one got the correct beaten finalist so it's only 60pts shared rahter than 120
Amro - I get a potentially controversial 120pts , although I didn't give Haas by name since I didn't know what the draw was. Maybe the other players could indicate whether this is reasonable or should I only get 60pts ...
