I wouldn't mind him having 120. First round is a bit different to the others considering that there's only one possible opponent, it was just that he didn't know who it was yet.

Well said that man. If you nominate a first round exit you're guaranteed to be completely correct, provided you know what the draw is. I think they're being very harsh, they're just jealous I've spotted the winning formula - always select a first round exit directly after winning the previous tournament.
well I'll fully confess to be rather intimidated by the prospect of ed having an 80 point lead. HOWEVER, if the rules state that you have to specify BOTH the round the Brit exits AND the player they go out to then I don't see why the rules should be any different for the first round.
I do see the argument of being unable to provide an opponent becuase you've not seen the draw but if that had been the case and you thought that Andy was going to reach the quarter finals there would be no question about whether you got half points or full points. It would've been half points. So again I ask why should it be different for the first round?
And I'd like to think I'd say the same if I had been the one to make the prediction, though I probably wouldn't be writing such a long defence of the argument!

I love a good debate .... I'ts actually a good point , not so much from the 'me not getting 120 pts' point of view, but more generally the first round exit part. I actually thought of modifying the rules this season to say you only got a 60 pt's for a correct first round exit full stop, beacause it made it too easy to get full points. Especially since Andy either goes all the way or out in the first round.
Anyhow, I didn't do the change, but I'm happy with my 60 pts...
