absolutely. It was a completely intentional "error" designed specifically to convery the sheer delight of your report.

Thanks for a very comprehensive report, Derek.  Very atmospheric! painter.gif  I hope, however, that you won't mind too much if I make a small suggestion about the format for your consideration.  I'm one of those people who really struggle to plough through long (or longish) documents on a computer screen.  At work I almost invariably print 'em off before I can do anything else with 'em!  Given the small default size of the font on this board, it would make your precious despatches from the front line of tennis much less of a visual challenge for my poor, ageing eyes (yes, I do wear specs!) if you were to insert a space between your paragaphs. wink

Sorry, Lynne, I take your point.

The problem is that I'm long-winded (or so I have been told by certain contributors more eminent than I), which means that once or twice, I've had posts refused on the grounds of being o'er long. I realised that yesterday's was going to be lengthy, so deliberately chose not to space my paragraphs, just in case.

However, in future - provided I remember! - I'll write in spaced paragraphs, resorting to unspaced ones only if the post is refused.

Very pleased you enjoyed the report; thanks for that.

I should have realised ...

Such wit as well as such charm - and in one so young ...

Hope the injury not too bad (just bad enough to retire from the match!)

Did Hewitt's opponent actually withdraw injured or did he just bring the trainer on?
