Now...do we hope that either Bloomfield or Ward is against Boggo?

Awesome, a second great result today! Well done to Richard for holding his nerve despite wasting 3MPs and pulling through..!

Bloomers wins 4-6, 7-5, 7-6 (8) and saves 2 match points

Stunning win for him and this must do him the world of good.

2 qualifiers is so much more than we were expecting, and 6 Brits in the main draw doesn't quite look so bad now - hope Bloomers and Ward get a good draw, but I can see them getting Gonzo and Safin, while Boggo has to deal with De Voest

Would like Boggo to get another Brit as it means we'd have 1 in round 2, Boggo would have a better chance of defending his points, and it should be on the TV court so we can watch it

Brilliant news and a great win against someone who was playing brilliantly yesterday. It's a bit annoying that they only get 5 points but hopefully they can progress and there isn't much more they could have done as a pitch to the lta for a wimbledon wc.

That's just huge.....Richard's struggled in the challengers this year but to turn it around at this level against these quality players is just massive !

When was the last time we had 6 in main draw ?

What a brave performance that was, I thought so many times he was going to get just edged out.

In the end, Bloomers, Wardy and Slabba won 7 more matches than I thought they would - that's incredible! smile.gif I thought Bloomers might well win his R1 match, but that's about it.

I hope to goodness they make the news for this now!
