Good win for Boggo and he's won his first ATP match since Baker at Queens, and 4 good wins in a row is good preparation for Wimbledon, and if this is the year he gets a good draw, he's in the form where I'd back him to a win a match.
Not great on the second serve though today and it needs to improve, but at least he got the job done.
Ward did okay, but shows he's a long way from the top still, losing in straight sets to a challenger player (but at least when he returns to the futures events soon, he should have improved his game, and now is the time for him to move up the rankings)
They may not of had a choice. Remember Wardy was slagging off the support and the LTA may have said no to Quallies WC and Nottingham organisers gave him one

Isn't Nottingham ran by the LTA though? So it would be the LTA who'd have awarded the WC's?
I see the logic in taking a main draw WC though, especially if you're not convinced that you'll qualify as it's much easier to gain points (and to be honest, both of them draw a qualifier, so it's the perfect draw for them)
