Shame for Ward to lose, but he did well to get a set of Beck, so he's showing he can compete at this level... just needs to score points when he gets some nicer draws.
Good effort from Jonny to get to a TB in the first set, and if he keeps serving really well, he can push Smeets, but can't afford to drop his serve at all, as has to hope Smeets loses the plot for a while.
Slabba/Skupski? In an all British clash, I have to go for the one who will make best use of the win, which has to be Slabba, as he's the better player, needs the points more, and should beat Motomura in the next round - but a Skupski win would be good as well
