What is great about that win is that he came back from a set down to someone he has lost to twice this year! He does appear to be getting his mental fitness in order!
a really good win, esp considering all of the issues boggo had with stoppy b4, esp after losing that 1st set from being ahead.
mostly likey to be top players all the way, but at least Alex can go into the matches with no pressure and swing freely, only got to beat crochus, baggy and llodra to take the title so its basicly in the bag (or hope some one else does the busniess with baggy and llody)

apart from wimby (where he Q'd then lost to balke in rd1) Crochus only played on clay since feb and before this week he was W-L 1-6 on indoor courts in the last 12 months
has beaten bastl in 3 sets and de chaunac in straights to reach the quaters
he has never played alex, but hsi brother oli took out alex 63 61 last year in mons.

I hear what you're saying, but I don't think it was his intention to make excuses. He was pretty mad that he didn't take advantage of the draw and said regardless of any circumstances he still should have been able to win the match.
fair enough, as i say he needs to work out how to feel his best if he gets late matches again, i am a bit suprsied that he hasnt had one at that kinda time before considering how long he has been on the tour, and i guess its something us armchair fans/players dont really consider too mcuh.
do you know what he plans to do next week? did he enter anywhere or not hoping for a DC call up? maybe he cna play the GB futures, get a WC or qualfiy. its a bit below where he sohuld be of course, but there isnt much else around.
He's playing the NCL finals in Bournemeouth then he's in Nottingham to defend the points from his title last year

It's taken me hours to get the chance to find out about this but well done Boggo, that's exactly the kind of result he needed (and this week's opposition the kind of opposition he needs) with DC coming up.
I want to see Boggo get the DC and Wimby monkeys off his back in one fell swoop, and I think this tie gives him the chance to do it - the big problem is that unless he beats Smelly, the match against Peya will either be a dead rubber, which doesn't really count, or a high pressure decider!

i seem to remember boggo playing a rochus in a challanger final a few years back, tho i cant remember which rochus it was tho? any shed light on this reverlation?
I can't seem to find any evidence of that, it appears that the only meeting that Boggo has had with a Rochus was his R16 loss to Olivier at the 2007 Mons Challenger [he lost 6-3 6-1 on hardcourt]
