I've added Marcus to the "Race for the top 25" section on the GB top 25 table because although his ranking will plummet more than 700 places on Monday, he'll rise over 800 places on Monday week and overtake Dan Smethurst even if he loses tomorrow.
If Evo wins tomorrow, he'll be in the top 500 for the first time on Monday week, if Marcus wins, he'll be in the top 1000 for the first time on Monday week.

Absolutely fantastic results to get a Willis / Evans! Always thought the Evans/Cox/Willis/Smethurst breakthru would happen soon, and it now seems to be happening. Yay!
I was there yesterday and saw the end of the Evans and Fleming match and the last set of Marcus's match as well. I turned up at 2 love Colin and he then lost 5 games in a row, Evans looked excellent although Colin didn't serve particularly well. First time I have seen Marcus and he did really well to come back from 3 love down in the last set. Looks like he has plenty of potential but felt that he didn't have enough penetration on his ground strokes and he could do with losing some weight!
Great week and hopefully the final will prove to be an exciting, closely fought contest for those of you who will be there [I'm already looking forward to the several differing reports!]
With regards to what Slimmy26 said, hopefully results/tournaments like this will really spur Marcus on to become fitter and really work on his groundstrokes which may or may not be directly linked to one-another
Well done to Colin & Ken in the doubles, Colin may well be up to the standard at which he can partner Jamie M sooner than originally expected
LOL is it Simmy26's comment about Marcus needing to lose some weight (should we blame his mother for being too good a cook? Thank goodness she'll never read this, eh! ) that made you call him Slimmy? Either that or it's a brilliant typo
