as for 09 being his last year its hard to tell. a good run and alex could still end the year inside the top 150 which really wouldnt be dire considering.
the thing is if alex gives up the tour he will have to go into tennis coaching. alex isnt a fool, he knows he can get a pretty sweet coaching job anytime without too much trouble maybe in the uk, more likely in the US so i dont think he will rush to that. i am also not sure how much he will enjoy that at this stage. next year he will be 25 which is hardly ancient.
as steven says a DC free year and hopefully a injury free one will see where he is.

Or maybe the SB was right and Alex won 6-4 6-3....that would explain why the other scores are updating and this is not....or it could be that AB lost the match 6-4 6-3 !!!
of course there is the possibility that the set scores in boggo match are wrong and the match was won in straights, or there was a retirement. hmm could be anything i guess.
