Laura has a very tough opener against a player who nearly won a match in the women's main draw (she won the US wildcard play-off), was a finalist in the Orange Bowl U18 and is in the top 400 in the women's rankings. Probably the worst draw Laura could have had.
Heather has a nice opening couple of matches, but then is likely to run into her doubles partner and singles nemesis from Casablanca.
Hannah has a winnable opener, but then should play the second seed.
James is in a decent sector of the draw. His first opponent, though seeded, is a doubles specialist (won two of the grand slams last year). The other seed is the one he beat in Traralgon.
Shame for Hannah being so close to her first win in a Grand Slam
Heather will not have to worry about Tomljanovic, who lost to the Aussie wildcard Brittany Sheed.
R2 Chanel Simmonds (RSA) v (9)Heather Watson (GBR)
Court 19 starts tonight (11pm GMT) with Laura followed by James followed by Hannah (doubles with Ester Goldfeld). Laura (with Anna Orlik), Heather (with Yana Buchina) and James (with John Morrissey of Ireland) also play doubles first rounds on other courts.
