RE: Boys & Girls: Australian Open Junior Championships

This tournament is really hotting up now with the top 5 seeds through the QFs. Can't see past Pervak for the title if she keeps playing as well as she can.

The 8th seed has just lost though to Laura's doubles partner Anna Orlik.

Pervak the favourite but if laura plays at her best she can beat her.If Laura can beat Bogdan in the quarters Lertcheewakarn would be her projected semi final opponent and she looks in ominous form.

And all 4 of those are still involved in the doubles which seem to be played in the hotter part of the day. Maybe that will give Ana Bogdan an edge in terms of freshness.

Also, for some strange reason, the BBC seem to have replaced Laura's portrait with a picture of a jug kettle?

Well, she is a boiling hot prospect!

Seriously though, I noticed that too, must be a mistake.

The temperature in Melbourne is now 38.5C. No doubt it is even hotter on court.

What is 102 F in C as that was the recorded temperature at 12 midday local time and temperatures don't peak until 4 pm on a typical day

Being based in Florida I hope that gives Heather an advantage
