Richard Gabb has been very busy of late. Since wrapping up the second of his two titles in Copenhagen on Saturday morning he has had to play 3 rounds of qualifying here, in order to join a large British contingent in the main draw. The draw has done us few favours, with 6 out of 8 drawing seeds.

No upsets of seeds, despite some close calls, so we are left with just the 2 in-form players

That's 7 consecutive straight-sets wins for Richard, making him 14-1 for the year (ITF only) - but there won't be any double this week, as he and Daniel Cochrane made an early exit from the doubles.

Awesome form for Gabb, saw him play in an inter-club match where I was captaining the opposition 4 years ago. We was only a division 7 player but worked really hard for every point. Obviously the hard work is starting to pay off. Following in Marsalek's footsteps as a local Somerset boy trying to push through to the top ranks.
