Week 18 Futures - Great Britain F6 ($10K) - Edinburgh

Aeneas: Do you know that Cavaday lost to Piccari or are you just assuming? (you're probably right either way, of course)

Really great to see two different groups of GB youngsters coming through today.

I'd give both Dans a fighting chance. I thought Dan Evans rather fancied himself on clay?

Coxy should be able to take out Rodrigues. Evo should win, too.

We didnt go inside!

6-4 4-4 30-0 me. we got called off for the day until tomorrow to try to play on the clay at 10am.

Supposed to rain again tomorrow so see how much we get through.

Doubles - players were given the decision to go inside to play, or wait till tomorrow.
I personally didnt want to play inside to have to go outside again tomorrow.

If i do manage to close it out tomorrow, i will have another singles and doubles depending on the weather, its looking like i will be lucky to finish the first singles let alone anything else.

Other matches that havent finished, cavaday was 6-2 2-1 down against piccardi, or what ever his name is.
Also some final round qualis womens matches, but they went inside to play.

See what tomorrow brings! SHOCKING conditions.

The words from mills are 'doubles is played tomorrow no matter what, so inside or out, singles is played outside, and if its rained off they will wait another day, (till thursday) then they will put them inside'

racket is green/yellow, the one mofils plays with if your interested.

Well done, hope you finish him off tomorrow. (hope Matt doesn't read this board, he might not understand! LOL) It must have been annoying to have to come off when you were potentially so close to winning, but right not to finish it indoors I think.

I imagine you don't wear clothes quite as bright as Monfils does, so the racket stands out more smile.gif

Thanks for adding the missing scores, Drew. Fortunately the first match for Fitzy is by far the most important, and I'm sure he'll be hoping it doesn't last much longer!
