Thia match offers an in form Bally the chance to register a career best victory. A defeat would be no disgrace. The experience, whether win or loss, will set her up fantastically for US Open qualies. How is this draw a bad thing?????

I agree with Shhh it's only a bad draw if her only wish was to get the easiest draw possible. But from the tennis life experience perspective she will be shown on prime time tv playing against a tennis great who is the tennis story of the moment. Kim may also have a letdown this week after the emotional highs of her great comeback last week. I think this is the prime example of the pint half full half empty analogy.

Her greatest wish has always been to break the top 100, not play a big match. When one win off the top 100 her main concern really should have been to get an easy match as possible to finally crack the top 100. She has had big match experience before and while it may be nice, the points and ranking improvement would be much nicer no doubt.

Lets hope Kim slips up.

Maybe if she was 16. But she's 26.

Glorious defeats don't pay the rent, so I would have thought that hard cash and ranking points are what it's about now. An unranked Canadian WC would have been ideal.

Not that she has lost yet, of course.

I don't think this is a good thing at all.

If we are honest it will probably not be a very pleasant scoreline with the serious possibility of a drubbing doing her confidence serious harmbefore a big few weeks.
