decent effort from Bally tonight. Serve let her down a couple of times, but obviously much improved on her 3 previous events.

Hope she can take this forward to the Open next week and get a couple of wins.

Clijsters serves out to love for a 6-3, 6-4 victory. Bally did play well.. her backhand down the line in particular well used. Was much more an equal in tht 2nd set, got on to Kims serve more and definately forced kim to up her game!

Onwards and upwards for the Us Open,Is she close to being a DA? On this form id rather see Elena in qualies as much more points avaliable there than getting a DA into the main draw and getting a top seed.
