It's hard to tell with Molik, 5 years ago she was ranked 8 but dropped out of the top 300 in 2008-9 she is now trying to get back.

Last Brit to beat a Top10 player...

Sam Smith defeated Martinez at Wimbledon (R3) in 1998 - think she was in top 10 at the time.

Yes, she was ranked 7, that must be the last time.

Don't worry, I wasn't really going to look it up. Must be Wood or Durie in the early 90s anyway.

So, after 30 points for qualifying and 50 more for winning her first round, Bally now gets a magnificent further  err 30.

Blessed are the WTA  confuse.gif

That could've been Jo Durie beating Anke Huber (WR9) at the French Open in 1992.

From her coach on twitter:

"7-6, 2-6, 7-6, a Rocky vs Apollo moment, 5-1 down in the 3rd set TB, she made the almost impossible happen. It was simply AWESOME.Coach Nino"

Absolutely Fantastic

She said couple of weeks back how she wanted to crack top 50 and if she carries on like this then surely that is possible.

In a way next match will be harder for her as rankings wise should win...lets just hope she keeps that wonderful 2010 record in tact
