Ani hasnt beaten a top 100 player in over a year (Last February) and I hope Bally keeps that run going. Bally conversely hasnt lost in WTA qualies yet this year. Her 100% record is being tested here.

Shocking really after such a bright start.... really went against the form book there. Up to Anne to salvage this event.

Probably her worst defeat of the season. Saying that Arn is no mug on clay but Bally was still clear favourite. After seeming unbeatable in tight 3 set matches that is the second close one she has lost on the bounce.
I think we can allow her one poor week though given the season she's had.

The bright strart (or at least the scoreline) flattered Bally. It was only the fact she converted both her break points, whilst saving 6 against her that allowed her to take the set.
