Who thinks Steven was willing Sod to beat Ferrer so he could have some fun ?
If Ferrer had beaten Sod, it would then have been far too straightforward.
Anyway, now just need to print off a few thousand copies of the Group B scenarios sheet, and set up a stall outside the O2 to sell them to Thursday's spectators and maybe some of the ATP

It would need some proper checking before I could do that! LOL

Some of this depends on the assumption that rule IV.4.01.D.3.v means H2H kicks in as soon as we get down to 2 players left in the tie rather than only if there is still a tie after all of D.3.i-D.3.iv have been used.
Do we have any clear information on this yet - I think Steven's assumption ought to be correct since the rules say (i), (ii) or (iii)
The beeb in the preening form of A. Castle are (fwiw) with Steven - since they seem to believe the there is no RS in 3, AM win that would favour RS over AM.
The alternative interpretation could be seen as more natural - since it would be that "are tied" means after applying (i), (ii) and (iii) I'm begining to think that if Steven's interpretation was the right one the rules would have stated it more clearly
iv) If (i), (ii) or (iii) produce one (1) superior player (first place), or one (1) inferior player (third place), and the two (2) remaining players are tied , the tie between those two (2) players shall be broken by head-to-head record.
btw - very impressed that you're doing "live" updates to the scenarios page, Steven
Yes, Milo, agree the H - H isn't going to come up now.
Roger won at perfecto time One more game for Sod and it would have made Andy's task slightly harder ( and retained a slim chance for Sod but he is out now ).
Anyway, just needs to win one set now.
Or if Ferrer wins in straight Andy needs to win at least 8 games or 7 games in the form 3 & 4 or 4 & 3.
That said, I would really like a good win and good performance from Andy.
Agree - but I fear that when you only need to lose 3&4 you come out and play worse than when you need to win. Somewhere in your head you're thinking "why over-exert myself if I don't need to".
Desperately needs a win for confidence, irrespective of qualifying or not, I think a win is imperative for Andy tonight. Fed was impressive this afternoon and Sod was good as well. Fed looking good to win the whole thing now.
