Another surprise winner was Alena Baltacha, of Scotland, who beat Klara Koukalova, the Czech, 7-5, 6-4.

Lucie Hal, of Devon, lost 1-6, 6-1, 6-2 to Sam Smith, a qualifier."

I thought "Alena" was bad enough, but that was before I read "Lucie Hal" smile.gif

The scoreboard has been frozen at 40-15 on Bally's serve for quite a while now so either things are delayed or the scoreboard is not working very well...
