Looks as if they both had serve issues. Hradecka's overall first serve % was 38 % ! Maybe, as someone suggested, there was an issue with the conditions.
Would have liked to see Heather closer at the end. Hradecka though is a good player in decent form. At least Heather now competes routinely quite closely with players around WR 100 and above without looking out of place at all. I'd suggest that just in the last few months she has progressed much more than just about any of us would have expected.
Hopefully now she can get an IW WC that she is likely to require even just to get into qualifying, and can pick up a decent haul of points there.
No idea why she didn't play with M-E this week, but a change in pairing didn't work out (well it did for M-E).
I'm not sure she'll make IW cut ranked around 90, so will drop out the top 100 when those points come off. She's got to start winning these matches soon though. Disappointing one.
7 of 8 MD wild cards and 6 QD wild cards for IW have been announced and Heather isn't among them. The announcement doesn't mention if there are another 2 qualifying wild cards to come or not - I would assume there are 8 places?

Last year's qualifying draw has 6 WCs so that would appear to be the number. Personally I wouldn't have expected Heather to get one for IW (still possible she might get the final MD WC). However, if needed, I imagine that Miami will give her either a QWC or a main draw WC.

Not impressed about the snub for our Hev, as she is the highest ranked player, with the best current cv, for an up and coming young player, who hasn't gained direct acceptance to MD/QD.
