Very nervy third set. After being broken 4 times in a row, Katie managed to sort herself out and win the last 3 games.

Good to see Em coming through comfortably. Shame Nicola couldn't continue Iijima's losing streak, but she took out Gaverova in qualies and should take heart from making it to the main draw.

I wonder whether Katie v Sema will be any different back on a hard court this time, quite possibly but still should be a win. Katie desperately needs all the points she can garner down under, so hoping for another good run this week. Good win for Emmers, given last week, so must be happy with that.
