RE: Week 12-13- ATP 1000 - Miami (Hard)

Muzz has tweeted that he is going to announce who his new coach is at 7 pm BST today. Does he realise you aren't allowed to fool people after mid-day though? LOL

"Ross hutchins will be my new coach alongside dani starting in barcelona! Can't wait to get startedd, full statement on personal website"

"Felt like I needed another yes man"

laughing.gif classic line, both towards Hutchins and his media detractors!

Hope it all works out for Andy.

Can't say I'm impressed with him seemingly getting involved in some April fool stuff earlier and now that smart arse remark.

Find I'm wanting to Novak to win this final, a part of which is that if he beats Rafa then Muzz's loss in Aus is somewhat vindicated ?

Novak does indeed win the final, beating Rafa   4 - 6   6 - 3   7 - 6 (4)

Record now  24 - 0  for the year  !

That was a pretty impressive final, Nole just had enough left in the tank to see off Nadal. Nadal will still be the one to beat on the clay courts but Novak will certainly provide him with a sterner task than usual.

I don't bloomin believe it. I thought Nole was dead in the water after the first set. Well done that man. Any tips for Andy ?

Guess one thing maybe to hang on to a bit is that about this time last year Nole too was looking a bit shaky, I seem to remember particularly on serve.

Just looked and see he went out in the L64 to Olivier Rochus in Miami after losing in the L16 to Ljubicic in Indian Wells.

Players of his and Andy's talent can always get back on track with the right decisions and the right work.

Well done to Nole. Beating Nadal on clay is a great achievement. smile.gif

Since when has Miami been on clay? confuse

Hopefully that was just a premonition you had of what he's going to do to Rafa during the clay court season. wink

Hah, Miami is about as fast as clay these days!

But I won't mind it if it's a premonition of things to come. smile.gif

Just noticed that Donald Young and Alex Bogmolov Jr lost yesterday in the final qualifying round of Houston. Sigh. The one good thing about Mr Murray's losses to both of them (apart from the fact that it is nice for them!) is that they are so out of character that they can, assuming he recovers, be safely consigned to the past. (ie Lots of close losses to top players would actually be more worrying? At least you can emerge from a major funk and say -- that was awful, now it's over.)
