No longer on bet365 - can I take it that means he won? smile.gif

 Yep.  Confirmed on ITF:

QF:  (8) Chris Eaton WR 574 defeated (2) Laurynas Grigelis (LTU) WR 378 by 4 & 2 biggrin

SF:  Michal Konecny (CZE) WR 601 vs (8) Chris Eaton WR 574

A flicker of a chance of a place in the final? pray.gif

will a win put him back in top 500?

Pretty unlikely that one more win will get Chris into the top 500.  Current WR 500 is on 62 points. Reaching the semi has taken Chris up to 55 points and a win will take him to 59 points which is currently equaivalent to about WR 509.

Winning the title would certainly take him into the top 500, to 67 points which is currently equivalent to about WR 482.

Chris has actually just blown all his opponents off court this week, really encouraging set of results!! Would be great if he could get his second singles career title tomorrow!

Clinical. Is is Torebko or the Italian in the final? They should have played first

Judging by Chris's form he has every chance as well.

SF: (8) Chris Eaton WR 574 beat Michal Konecny (CZE) WR 601 by 0 & 2 smile.gif

FI: (8) Chris Eaton WR 574 v (6) Peter Torebko (GER) WR 463 (= CH)

Torebko is 4-2 v Brits in the last year, with Alex Ward having inflicted his two defeats at British hands. Chris's former doubles partner Big Bad Dom was the last Brit before Ward to beat him, back in 2009.
