Gutted....... oh Mel........ only managed to catch the last couple of games. Was it a case of Pegula massively upping her game? Was Mel playing well earlier on? I hadn't seen her play since her match loss to Johansson at SW19 in 09, so it was interesting to get a glimpse of her again. I feel like this is a match Mel might have closed out if she had more confidence... thoughts?
Mel reports on an "amazing doubles win by tara moore. electric atmosphere for the night feature match!!!!! joss and i dancing to the music at every change over"
Good news, which I think means Tara is now in the doubles semis, but I wonder why Joss Rae is there when she withdrew from this event on 5 April and from next week's event in Charlottesville. Hopefully if she's out in the US, it means she intends to be back soon anyway.

My guess she made her travel arrangements for being back this week but the injury wasn't 100% and felt she may as well come out and do some practice and training in the states?
Or possibly is Joss considering taking up a spot at a US college, it seems like a popular option at the moment.
Yes, when I was saw she was in the US but not playing in the tournament, I did get a bit worried that perhaps the evil Borwell monster had nobbled her.
P.S. If any of you GBTG types decide to paste this into a GBTG thread without including the 'wink' smiley, you'll be in deep trouble. Probably not as much trouble as I'll be in, but deep trouble all the same
