L128: Anne Keothavong WR 108 v Vesna Dolonts (ex-Manasieva) RUS WR 101
Nice draws and although Dolonts has been improving a lot (the 101 ranking is a career high), Anne has good memories of playing her - the H2H is 2-0, booth in 2008, and she won the title in both tournaments, Capriolo 25K and Warsaw 100K+H. Elena beat Dolonts in Cagnes-sur-Mer earlier this month too.

I think you could get long odds against Anne completing a hat-trick of beating Vesna and going on to win the title.
Must be a decent chance of at least one R1 victory here though. I was wondering, when was the last time a British woman won a main draw match at Roland Garros? I tried looking this up and failed to find any recent examples.

1994, when Clare Wood beat Gigi Fernandez 6-3 2-6 6-2 in R1.

Blooming heck ! The last day or two has been very revealing of awful RG statistics.
Hopefully, Heather will sort out the 1983 last qualifier and then someone please sort out the 1994 last main draw winner.

LOL thanks - trying to make good use of the tedious searching I did on ITF a couple of years ago, thankfully I noted most of it down. (which also means if I made a mistake then, I'll be wrong now too!)

Decent draws for both, of course its a 12/1 chance of Hev playing Bally assuming Hev qualifies so highly unlikely. Anne will be the underdog on current form but the H2H is promising.
