Couldn't believe my ears when Castle says to Sue Barker - "some of the crowd had a bit too much to drink and were calling James Ward "Jamie" last night" 20 minutes after doing it himself on commentary during Andy's match.

Oh thank your Lord for providing me with Eurosport.
Ah, but at least those of us who are dependent on the Beeb (terrestrial/Freeview channel 301) aren't actually paying for the (& I use the term advisedly) pleasure. I agree that Castle & Co can be annoying, but it's really not that difficult to ignore their words of (non-)wisdom.
Must say I'm like you with this, SC. Stupid though many of their comments are ( and as was said the other day Andrew Cotter is probably a better pure commentator ) I can't say I have ever been really effected by the tennis commentaors. The actual tennis effects my watching much more than the commentary, I fully enjoyed the Murray / Roddick match even with the terrible twosome.
I'm more effected watching football, with me sometimes in the past preferring to watch in silence amd / or with the radio than listen to one particular Scottish commentator.

Apparently it has been raining since 9:00 and while a relatively short window of play looks possible for later today it doesn't look like anywhere near long enough to get the match done.
If it isn't played today (or starts but doesn't finish) they are planning to play the Final tomorrow Monday 13th June at 12.30pm and there will be coverage on BBC2 (think it was 2 not 1).
They will probably be desperate to get 10 minutes play in just so they screw the spectators out of a full refund.
If there is less than two non-consecutive hours' of play on Centre Court on Sunday then ticket purchasers will be able to claim a full refund under our raincheck policy. Full details are on the back of all tickets.
And by the looks of it tickets for Monday would be a free for all - by that I mean first come first served rather than not having to pay any money
