What is this likely to do to Eleanor's ranking?

Cracking stuff by these two and especially by Eleanor.
And now a guarenteed Brit in the semis.

She will enter at about 870 if she loses to Manisha in the quarters. This is starting to feel like the start of a very interesting time for British Women's tennis.

It sure is and Eleanor does look a real prospect for the future. We often say that about some of our youngsters but now with the younger girls there does seem to be some real shoots emerging of interest.

I was going to say about 845  ( she'll be on 18 points from 4 counters ).  Win the QF and I'd say she'll be about WR 820 on 20 points.

Whatever, it's great to see

I trust your calculations as I am watching the Li v Lisicki match and I fear my maths were a little compromised!

You have to admire Lisiki - pulling out 4 servres 121,122,123 then 124mph when facing 3 match points. 124mph is all-time top 10 speed.

And to tenuously link that to the topic, I wouldn't be surprised to see eleanor at those speeds someday.

Good stuff from the girls.

Manisha has had a few QF recently

Think i'd rather Eleanor won and carried on the run, plus i suspect she has a better shot at winning the event
